you know it's the beginning of school when the storms start a commin'. this is the reason why we will NOT be in school tomorrow!!! the girls are stoked, but what the heck!!! we just got started and now we are out already!!!!!!!!!!!!

seriously, that's super lame! you can't let all the kids (more importantly parents) excited, and then not let them go to school. would it be totally wrong to still drop them off anyways? hehehe
don't think i haven't thought of that. most of the schools here are shelters so wouldn't they be safer anyway?
There is no way you could get me to live somewhere that you KNOW there is going to be a hurricane every year - give me tornadoes anyday! :)
By the way, any tips for dealing with a dog in heat (aside from making sure that she stays in the "tiled" rooms)? We are getting her fixed on Thursday, but in the meantime it's drip-drip-drip. YUCK
So I was watching the news this morning wondering how that would work for you seeing that ALL of Florida was pretty much covered with the hurricane! Good luck! Want to visit the hot dry heat? :)
I hope the weather doesn't get too bad for you! How long will your kids have to be out of school? I guess we have snow days (not that the kids have ever stayed home in the last 10 years)and you have hurricane days.
