Memory Game

Memory Game Rules...
1. Leave a comment on my blog of a memory that you and I have had together
(it doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, just anything that you remember).

2. Re-post these instructions on your blog. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Hangin with Katie

last week we had sarah's bff ,katie, over for a few days. they have been buds since they were both a year old, and they are a week apart in age. katie being the more mature one by 7 days. she is an animal lover to the max so she was in heaven with all the puppies. and best of all i don't think i took brady out once while she was here! you're the best katie!

the girls really had fun with her. we watched movies, played with the puppies, swam, ate homemade bluberry and chocolate chip pancakes, played with the puppies, made cookies, and did i mention played with the puppies? we love our bffs!!!

Makin Bread in a Bag

for activity night sarah and her fellow primary girls made "bread in a bag". i stayed since our enrichment activity to make bread is going to be on her birthday and i will miss it. it was actually quite fun and easy. and the best part, not too messy since most of the work is done in a ziploc bag! and it actually tasted very good. they also made their own butter to put on it and that was equally tasty. yum-o! now i have a new rainy day activity for my girls to do.

they also grinded some wheat and got to chew it to make wheat gum. that not so tasty, but fun. they have awesome leaders who are starting them off young with the food storage thing. kudos to you ladies!!

Summertime Swimming!

this summer we have really enjoyed hanging out in the pool again. gracie, since these pics were taken, has learned to swim without the floatie. at least in the shallow end. the best part is that she did it all on her own. she says to me "look what i can do mom!" and as i turned around she was swimming all on her own UNDER the water! way to go gracie! she said to me afterward, "mom did you see me being a mermaid?" too funny! here's to summertime!!

sad news

i have to update the puppy situation. we lost one of our little ones last week. he was a smaller one and he was having trouble getting food. we hand fed him for a day and thought he was doing better, but as i was holding him and trying to feed him he died. we were all very sad, but know that there must have been a reason for it. the 8 that are left are doing fine and growing so fast.

Puppies, Puppies Everywhere!

brady relaxing

Well, we now are the proud owners of 10 new puppies! One little cute morkie that I bought and Maya, our female German Shepherd, had her pups this morning! (July 6, 2008) She had 11 puppies but we lost two. We almost lost one other one but she was a fighter and after that she is the loudest of the litter! They are sooooo cute and pudgy. Sarah says they look like rats. She is 9. Mother and puppies are doing fine. It will be lots of work but hopefully will go quickly. So, who is up for a new big German Shepherd to bless their lives? Come on, you know you want one!

Big and Little

Oh the life of a new mom!

Maya the mommy

The little morkie is fine. His name is Brady. He is the cutest thing! Loves to chase the girls around and run after the big dogs. He is a crack up. Definitely being spoiled by everyone since he is so small. Pretty soon the Shepherd pups will be bigger than he is! He is a whopping 2.2 lbs. It will be more fun once the potty training is over! UGH!

SUPER DOG!!!
